The old bathroom has been completely gutted out. We ripped out the old bath, the taps, the close couple toilet and the old bathroom towel radiator.
For that fresh brand new installed bathroom look it’s important to gut everything out. If you don’t then it’s really difficult to get the laser level finish which is why we always insist on starting from the beginning for most of our bathroom installs.
We haven’t got a picture to show you but the old tiles were really old and tired looking due to the grout discolouring over time.
The next step is for the bathroom to have the first fix pipes run and then for the walls and floor tiled by our tiler.
First Fixing & Tiling
The first fixing has been completed which means that all of the plumbing pipes have been run. The central heating pipes for the bathroom towel radiator have been installed correctly according to the pipe centres.
The concealed cistern for the wall hung pan that we’re going to install has been fitted and the frame around it has been built using timber and plasterboard.
The tiler has now started work and as you can see in the pictures he has started to tile the floor with a unique looking wooden flooring effect tile.
The bathroom has been tiled and the second fix work has been completed. Before we begin tiling we make sure that we fit the bath first, protect it and then tile around it. This helps to reinforce the waterproof seal that we create using silicone sealant and also makes sure that the bath is less likely to move afterwards because the tiles help to keep it in place.
The pictures show off the chrome Grohe push button flush that we installed with the Grohe concealed wall hung frame including cistern. Other styling features include an LED mirror which looks amazing and also includes a heated demister pad. What this basically does is it heats the mirror very slightly so that condensation doesn’t sit on the surface. This means that after you’ve had a shower you can still see in the mirror whereas normally it would be full of condensation due to the steam. Technology is amazing right?
Bathroom Finishing Touches
When it comes to creating a beautiful bathroom, it’s all about the finishing touches. The right fixed shower head and adjustable handset and soap dish holder can make all the difference.
Take a look at the special bath shower screen that we installed. The unique feature on this bath screen is that it gives you the option to extend it out so that it stops water from splashing out on to other areas on the bathroom.
What do you think of the final finish on this bathroom? We love it and the customer loves it too. If you live in South East London or Kent and need a bathroom installed don’t hesitate to contact us!
